The Goddess Joey and the Arias company were able to celebrate our final show and ring in the New Year at the quintessential New York icon, the fabulous Indochine. Thank you to Jean Marc, his partner and entire staff they are amazing and we could not imagine having been anywhere else, it felt like home- much love to everyone! The fabulous Emmanuelle Chi Chi from the bubble lounge provided our very special final performance audience with lots o'bubbly for a toast at our final curtain call in The Dorothy B. Totally honored that Phil and Jennifer Stanton, otherwise known as Scout's mom and dad, would spend their date night with Arias with a Twist. We have been big fans of Phil and Blue Man Group since the LaMaMa days. My little brother even interned with the show at Astor Place way back when Phil was still performing. (That certainly changed his adolescent mind in ways my mom and dad are still experiencing! Ha!) Phil please send the whole blue men family to visit Joey, we would love to welcome everyone! Maybe we should be the company Christmas Party--now thats a good idea!

This is our most awesome sound designer Greg Duffin and his soon to be wife Sarah. She is wonderful, just arrived to the United States and wedding bells will ring in a few weeks in Kansas City - October 11th to be exact. Congratulations and welcome Sarah to the puppet family. Cheers!

You and Arias make a gorgeous couple. Project Runway's Austin Scarlett and entourage made their way to HERE last week to check out Thierry Mughler's latest concept for Arias, designed by fellow "Runway" Alum Chris March. King of sportswear judge Michael Kors was by a few weeks ago and busted a few seams throughout the evening, having been thoroughly entertained by Arias' antics. Our show should be a must see for all Runway-ers both old and new. Come one, come all Joey's corsette is not to be missed.
Joey thinks Basil needs to get back to New York immediately! Pickups (trucks) and Hay? Basil is actually in Fort Worth lending a hand to Hip Pocket Theatre's under the stars production of The Island of Dr. Moreau. Joey baring his "ink", was visited by crooner Debbie Divine and producer Tony Frere. Debbie joined Arias in New York for her days off from performing on tour with Al Jarreau and Tony and Joey are collaborating on the new much - awaited film on the life of Klaus Nomi. Superstars all.
This is Chris Sadler on the right, one of Dorothy B. Williams many gorgeous grandchildren. He came with his wife Anne, to visit Arias- also to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the opening of the Dorothy B. Williams Theatre. Dorothy was Basil's beloved grandmother, and wife to Griff Williams. Griff was a big band leader, and his string puppets, that were created for his orchestra in 1933 by Theodore Mack of Chicago, are currently playing in Arias with a Twist.
